Using different ships with different strengths and weaknesses is recommended. All ships costs the same. - Try to complete optional objectives to secure an advantage even from the beginning. (Fishing boat. Gold mines in corners) - Try to balance your investments in defense and offense. Cheap Weapons do more damage than expensive weapons but take up inventory slots. Recommended starting items: Light sail, Weak Repair Wood & Stone Hull + 1-3x cannons below 1000 gold.
