During the Third War the human prince, Arthas Menethil became corrupted by the runeblade Frostmourne where he become the champion for the Undead legions of the Lich King. After ravaging the Kingdom of Lordaeron he turned his twisted plans towards Quel'thalas intending to use their fountain of power - The Sunwell.
