There are 3 more builders (available in construction kit) For more Food upgrade your Lego Fort / Castle Most units are controled by the comp but you can buy some play by self joy in Hideout (Monsters) or upgrade it for heros. For using the gold mines and more wood you need a miners guild. Tip: Ghosts and Nightmares are nasty things, you will need some specialists.
