The year is 1077 A.D.
Islam has pushed far in to Europe and left the Eastern Roman Empire in shatters, the European Kingdoms now more centralised must decide whether the threat is big enough to unite over or to continue fighting eachother, while Eastern Europe, which has recently converted to Orthodoxism must now determine if it will continue the Roman traditions or replace them entirely.
