It took the English over 20 years to recover from the defeat at the hands of Charles V.The new campaign against the French started off well.but it soon got bogged down in the break-up season,insufficent supply,and the commander's errors.Besides the French managed to put together a strong army of knights yearning for revenge and a large number of commoners.However,Henry had a few aces up his sleeve.His army consisted of elite warriors ,not of poorly equipped peasants.His ships only had room for the best of the best.Duchy of Burgundy and Duchy of Flanders decleared war on France and allied with English to gain more lands on their own.
