Alterac Ruins

Alterac was one of the seven Human nations to join the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War. It was situated in the foothills and mountains of the land now known as the Alterac Mountains. Once ruled by Lord Aiden Perenolde, Alterac was the weakest kingdom in the Alliance and a relatively small contributor of soldiers and supplies. Most of the population abandoned the ruins of their former homes. Now, the Ruins of Alterac serve as the Ogres' base camp and largest settlement. Mug'thol, a ferocious and crafty tyrant, rules the clan.
